Complete dietetic feed for adult dogs.

Urinary health concerns in adult dogs can be supported by a nutritionally balanced and specifically tailored diet. Available in 6.5kg and 12kg bags, Royal Canin® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is formulated for adult dogs like yours with bladder or urinary tract issues. Struvite stones are a type of bladder stones that can form in your dog's kidneys. Though struvite is a natural component in your dog's urine, struvite stones form when the urine is too concentrated. Royal Canin® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie helps to dissolve all types of struvite stones. What's more, Royal Canin® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie's exclusive complex of nutrients help to reduce the likelihood of struvite stones or calcium oxalate stones reforming or forming to begin with. To help your dog maintain an ideal weight, Royal Canin® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is formulated with a reduced calorie content. Maintaining a healthy weight gives your dog a better quality of life. Royal Canin® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is developed with Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology. Low RSS helps to reduce the concentration of ions that contribute to crystal formation. As part of the Royal Canin® Veterinary Range, it is important that this product is only given to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. To cater to each dog's individual preferences, Royal Canin® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is also available as wet food in a delicious gravy. If you're considering mixed feeding, simply follow our feeding guidelines to ensure your dog gets an accurate amount of both wet and dry food for optimal benefit. At Royal Canin® we're committed to providing nutritional solutions to your pet's needs. All of our products undergo an extensive quality control process in order to guarantee the optimum quality of food, as well as catering to your dog's specific dietary requirements and lifestyle. This means that when your dog eats Royal Canin® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie, it's getting a complete and balanced diet.

Struvite Dissolution: Helps dissolve all types of struvite stones.

Moderate Calorie: Moderate calorie content to help maintain ideal weight.

Urine Dilution: Urine dilution makes the urine less liable to form struvite and calcium oxalate stones.

Low RSS: Helps lower the concentration of ions contributing to struvite and calcium oxalate crystal formation.

Great Product

My 14 year old lab had bladder stones and now needs a special diet. We tried other "special prescription" diets for struvite stones but they upset her stomach and made her very smelly. This food is perfect . It agrees with her digestive system and she no longer smells. The moderate calorie is great as she can only do 30 minute walks so helps with weight management.

Great alternative for weight control

Our 10yr old dog has been prescribed this food by the vet after a nasty and expensive operation for bladder stones approx 3 years ago. Originally we used the standard version but switched to moderate calorie as she is prone to weight gain and this version suits her perfectly and keeps her healthy.

My dog has this food as she gets struvite stones. She loves the food can't eat it quick enough small size for little dogs is good. Her weight has gone down since being on another make which put her weight up. I'm very happy with this food. Would recommend it to any dog who gets stones.

Good product

I buy this for my Standard Poodle who was diagnosed as having struvite crystals as a puppy. She is now 7 and has never suffered with the problem since first diagnosed as she is mainly fed low purine kibble as recommended by our vet. The Royal Canin product is good as the mderate calorie version helps keep her slim.

it helped our dog

We bought this on vet's recommendation to dissolve crystals in our dog's bladder and prevent them from appearing again. It has helped so far in conjunction with medication. Our dog hasn't had any problems with adjusting to this food.

Brilliant

I have bought this dog food for over 5 years. It’s very digestible and reduces the amount of ‘poo’ by half. I’d highly recommend it for older dogs with digestion and urinary problems

I have had my Malamute on this for a while now as he has hip dysplasia & was advised by vet to keep his weight down so as not to cause any issue with his hips. It has worked well.

Royal Canin urinary S/O Moderate

Lexi was diagnosed with Bladder Crystals 2months ago, and the vet suggested this food. There is now no blood in her urine and the crystals have reduced, she is being monitored by monthly urine samples and whilst it stays this way surgery won't be needed. She will have to stay on this food for life so thank heaven I've found it at a more reasonable price than other retailers.

Two occasions with stones in the bladder, two operations, we were advised by our vet advised to use this food. It’s still early days but hoping it does the job it was designed to do.

Stops frequently for leaks

As my title states;my dog would do tiny wees every ten metres or so-I thought she was marking her walks!Recently she rubbed up against me n I felt a hard lump big around her belly. The Vet,after a Scan, said it was the worst case of Bladder Stones he'd ever seen & wanted to Operate immediately! The result was a kilo of stones of all sizes like he had gathered from the Beach! My dog has taken to this food even though it tastes very salty to me.This is to encourage drinking water to dilute the urine. This food is for the long term & better to have to prevent a reocurrance! I now have my old dog back full of life n walking with a spring in her step. I have had to reduce the recommended food intake by 30% as she was putting on weight. So far,so good and it's use is cheaper than another Op & the stress of a occurrence.

Great service, great food!

I use this food for my English springer spaniel under vets advice as he had to have life saving surgery due to bladder crystals growing & blocking his bladder. He's been on this food over 2 years now, he loves it, eats it no problem! It's sad that we can no longer give him any treats but he does seem happy & healthy on this food, no problems regarding the crystals since him eating this food so it must work! Medicanimal are very reliable at getting Noah's food delivered to him, happy with the service.
