Balanced and complete feed for adult cats - Recommended to help reduce risk of dental plaque formation and tartar build-up.

Your cat's teeth are essential, not only for eating food, but also for interacting with the rest of the world; be it playing with its peers or chewing its toys. Keeping its teeth clean and healthy is essential to prevent oral hygiene problems. Tartar build-up is caused by the mineralisation of dental plaque coming into contact with saliva, and oral discomfort can lead to your cat feeling unwilling to eat or drink. Consulting your vet to check the health of your cat's teeth and gums is important if your cat is showing signs of tartar formation, gum disease, or tooth decay. Royal Canin® Oral Care is a precisely-balanced nutritional formula that helps maintain your cat's oral health by reducing the formation of dental plaque. It also contains a high protein content to support and strengthen your cat's muscles, bones, and teeth. When looking for a diet that benefits your cat's teeth and oral vicinity, it's important to be aware that Royal Canin® Oral Care performs two actions: Mechanical and Chemical. Royal Canin® Oral Care is specifically designed for targeted action, the Oral Care kibble size, texture and shape encourages cats to chew thoroughly. This mechanical action produces a daily tooth brushing effect that helps reduce the formation of dental plaque on teeth. This formula is also enriched with an ‘active dental agent' (calcium chelators) which performs a chemical action by trapping the salivary calcium to help limit dental plaque mineralisation. Royal Canin® Oral Care has been clinically proven to show results after just 28 days of continued use, reducing up to 59% of tartar formation. It also contains an ideal balance of minerals to help maintain the health of your cat's urinary system. At Royal Canin® we're committed to providing nutritional solutions to your pet's needs. All of our products undergo an extensive quality control process in order to guarantee the optimum quality of food as well as catering to your cat's specific dietary requirements and lifestyle. This means that when your cat eats Royal Canin® Oral Care, it's getting a complete and balanced diet.

Reduce Tartar Formation: Tartar build-up is the mineralization of dental plaque in contact with saliva, which can lead to sensitive gums. Oral hygiene plays an important role in your cat's overall health.

Oral Care: The shape and size of Oral Care has been specifically designed to promote a brushing effect that helps reduce plaque formation. Enriched with an active anti-tartar agent that traps the calcium in the saliva to help prevent it from being deposited on the teeth in the form of tartar.

Proven Results: The exclusive use of Oral Care is effective after 28 days: up to 59%* reduction in tartar formation. *Royal Canin internal study, 2005 - Compared to a control feed for adult cats not containing the Oral Care active components and measured on the most vulnerable teeth. *Royal Canin internal study, 2005 - Compared to a control feed for adult cats not containing the Oral Care active components and measured on the most vulnerable teeth. The grains are big but they look delicious

There are 6 animals from 1 to 9 years old. I'm starting to worry about bad breath, so I bought this one about 2 months ago.
9-year-old children also seem to have tartar on their back teeth, so the toothpaste supplements that are mixed with food are also large, but every child works hard to eat them crispy.

It's expensive to make it a staple food, so it's like mixing 4 to 5 tablets with the staple food. There are children who pick up this much, so I think it's delicious.
My bad breath has decreased quite a bit, but my tartar is still there. I wasn't taken to the doctor due to the ferocity, so I'll just take a look at how things are going for six months.

Premium cat food

I'm delighted that the vet recently told me my little senior cat has good teeth. This is premium cat food but keeping her healthy and well is very important to me and she likes it. My cat is a joy and sometimes a fussy eater so I'm please with the product. Here is my magical girl!

Smelly

The only problem I have with this dry cat food is that is smells very strongly so much so that it is distracting for humans and I have to cover the bowl when it is not in use.

Why did you choose this product over others?:
My Maine Coons love this (at least for the time being) ! Hoping they dont go off these. Nice bite size chunks, they seem to love the flavour.

Great

Royal Canin Dental Care Cat Food (1.5kg) is a dry kibble designed to help reduce tartar buildup in cats. The kibble's texture encourages chewing, which mechanically scrapes the teeth. While my cat seemed to enjoy the taste, and I appreciate the focus on dental health, it's worth noting that it's not a substitute for regular veterinary dental checkups. The 1.5kg bag is a decent size, but for multi-cat households, you might need larger quantities. Overall, a potentially helpful addition to a cat's dental hygiene routine, but not a standalone solution.

Dental care for cat

Having paid an expensive vet fee for cat dental treatment I decided to give this a go. Not being his usual food the cat was a bit apprehensive at first but has now taken to it. Last check up at vets was all clear so i'm confident it's doing the job.

Babies fur favourite food

Very impressive with royal Canini since the very beginning of having kittens and I wouldnt every change it because this food is the best and the only one they eat , very healthy value for money its fresh the size of 2kg its a bit pricey from what it used to cost maybe due to inflation but still pricey for such small quantity of food 2 kg last about 3 full weeks for two large fur babies but I sometimes get the 10kg which lasts longer nonetheless this food is the best nutritional supplement for kittens

Our cats like them

Nice big kibbles with lots of crunch. After some expensive dental work, because of infected gums, on our senior cat, I have started to feed these as part of our cats dry food routine. Charlie's bad breath has not returned, as sign that his gums are healthy now. They are expensive but much smaller price to pay than another large vet bill!

Helps teeth condition and encourages chewing

Our boy is a bit of a hoover when it comes to food (almost 2 years, part Maine Coon). He had a build up of tartar and had to have his teeth cleaned, we felt awful. The vet recommended oral care biscuits to encourage chewing and help keep his teeth clean. As they're bigger than the usual biscuits we can hear him crunching away which is good. The taste isn't horrendous, and they smell ok, he obviously loves them and they seem to be working.

Cats love them

Bought these to try as our normal brand of chunky cat biscuit is out of stock, the cats love them and were actually picking them out of the other biscuits I mix them with. My only moan is they are too expensive to buy on a regular basis.
