KONG Flyer - Large

One of his favourites - shame he won't bring it back!

This is by far the toy of choice! We have hours of fun. Vets say you should not throw a frisbee because a dog can jump up and hurt their back. I totally agree! However, we use it like a ball - either rolling it very fast on its side along the ground or just skimming the ground, so no jumping involved. She prefers it to a ball.

My dogs Favorite toy and he's a terrier but loves this bigger one after years of running round with the smaller one. We love it as it gives him hours of fun and is not a "hard" toy.

Great excercise toy, and a superb frisbee to boot!

This has been a huge hit with my dog. She adores playing with it. An added bonus is that it is not easily lost in longish grass.

I wasn't sure about it, but for the price I decided to give it a go. It has now suffered a great deal of torture; collies pulling it in opposite directions and trying to chew it, but it still goes on! The dogs love it; where it goes is a little unpredictable. I don't leave them with it, just take it out when I am with them.

My dogs love this Kong frisbee, it is durable, has to be to withstand my staffies jaws, they twist and bend them and catch it mid air, great flyers, great fun, and give my dogs lots of exercise.. the price is very competitive too!

Heavy for its size, so you have to wang it with a fair bit of force. If you do, however, it flies like a frisbee should, which makes it the best of the 3 makes I've tried from this site. It is also soft enough rubber that I don't worry that I will hurt the dog. On the minus side, the dog chewed the middle out eventually. That's probably unavoidable with a chewy dog. I'd recommend this one over the whistling one or any flying ring I've seen.

I purchased a Kong Flyer over a year ago and although initially surprised at its heaviness, soon adapted to throwing it. Its heaviness is a bonus, as unlike lighter Frisbees, it doesn't disappear over hedges and instead flies further when it is windy. Additionally, it softness and flexibility means that it doesn't damage my dogs' gums whilst it is undamaged even despite being tugged at and squabbled over. Finally, its bright colour makes it easy to find in snow and long grass and my dogs love it!

Having had a Kong flyer already I was expecting to get the same product but obviously either the design has been changed or there is more than one Kong flying disc. The previous one was quite light, very flexible, tough enough for my GSP and flew well. This version is heavier (without being any stronger) and more difficult to fly well. In particular the thick rim adds weight but doesn't really do much for the flying characteristics - and I have been flying frisbees since the late '60s.

This is a very strong flyer, took me a while to get the hang of throwing it. Both my Border Collie dogs love it and have a tug-of-war with it as to who is going to bring it back to me. I can fold it up and put it in my pocket so as not to have the who's carrying it first. Have bought this as a spare as their first one is over two years old now but still going strong. Brought this for my dog for Christmas. Normally if we are out on walks she wouldn't even look at anything other than a good old tennis ball. Since she's got this Frisbee shes loved playing with it and likes to carry it down the street to show it off to the neighbors. She's not tried to destroy it yet which is how i know she loves it

Our Staffy-cross loved his frisbee. Was not chewed after a month! Used on walks to provide extra exercise and interest for both dog and owner, just got a bit carried away with toy myself and it ended up too high in a tree to retrieve! Buying another one!

Our Staffordshire Bull Terrier loves this toy, Most of his toys are chewed though in mintues, but we have had this flyer for three weeks now and cannot recommend it highly enough, even his strong teeth cannot chew it up.

Although significantly heavier rimmed than my lab/collies previous much loved frisbee, he adopted this one straight out of the post and is now asleep with it! good tough material, and will give a workout for me....a success all round!

As you would expect from Kong, a great product. Robust enough that even our extreme chewer Golden Retriever has yet to put a tooth through it, although I wouldn`t leave her with it unsupervised, but still capable of good flight for a lot of chasing and retrieving fun. It has a good rim which makes it easy for them to pick up and is pliable enough to be comfortable when carried unlike some stiffer Frisbees which our dog finds awkward to carry.
