Hill's Prescription Diet k/d Kidney Care Dry Cat Food with Chicken

Our cat has been eating these for years; they help her problem and she quite likes them

My cat was constantly vomiting and refusing food and drink 6 weeks ago. This started on a Saturday evening and into Sunday morning. So made an appointment with the emergency vet on Sunday morning and after blood tests she diagnosed kidney disease. Gave him 3 injections and made an appointment for me to see the practice's cat specialist on Monday. He agreed with the initial diagnosis and gave me medication for him to take for a week, then wait a week and come back. He also said to feed him with this food. Thankfully 2 weeks on his blood tests showed a marked improvement so need for 3 pills a day (Yippee!) he only needs to stick to this food and have a blood test every 3 months. Pleased to say he is back to his old self and loves this food. Recommended

Helps my cats renal failure, recommended by vet and blood has improved

when my vet diagnosed my cat with early signs of kidney failure, he recommended this to help keep her going for as long as possible. Two years later blood tests show very little further deterioration, so must be working! I feed her a mix of this and kidney-friendly wet food.

Great product for elderly cats with renal problems. Have been feeding my two sister cats who nearly died of kidney problems back in January 2018. They made a full recovery and are in very good health since the end of treatment and continuous use of this prescription diet. I am grateful to my vet for the amazing advice, and very satisfied with the quality of this food. My 18 year olds are with us for a few more years in good health.

We had to change our older cats diet. For kidney problems is the right dry food. He really likes it and seems to help him. We buy it for the last few months.

If your vet has advised that you fed your cat this product I can recommend it. It really does work and my cats health has improved.

My cat was diagnosed with a kidney problem and needed special renal food. I was told to gradually go over to this diet as many cats don't take to it easily. I had no problems, she loves it. My biggest concern was the fact she'd had quite a number of teeth removed, and how would she crunch it, but this didn't bother her at all. great result all round

My wee Archie is a really fussy eater and when he developed kidney disease his choice of food decreased thank full he loves this stuff.

My cat loves this food. The service was speedy. I got a one-hour Ocado slot that suited me for the next day. I'd just like to be able to buy my cat food without it being packaged in plastic. Could Hill's look into using a compostable or other non-plastic alternative, please?

I bought these based on the good reviews people had provided, but unfortunately my cat wouldn't go near them. That's not to say other renal cats might be the same though as my cat has refused all the renal brand food i've bought for her. I will just keep trying till i find something she will eat. Just wish they would sell 400g bags as buying a 1.5kg or 2kg bag is such a waste of money & food when they won't eat it. Will be taking it to the cat rescue where I hope it will be of use.

Advised by my vet to use this as my cat is 17 years old and has a kidney problem. Cleo now has another of her nine lives and is doing very well since eating hills prescription diet kidney care.

He will actually eat this! and has put back on all the weight he lost when he was forst diagnosed with chronic renal failure

My old cat is extremely fussy and often has days when he only picks at his food but he will always eat k/d dry chicken. It is also delivered exactly at the time requested

Our cat was diagnosed with kidney disease 2 years ago. He is now 17. The vet gave us advice re diet and medicines. We decided to replace his usual biscuits with these on his recommendation. We didn't change anything else. Milo carried on eating sachets twice a day with free access to these biscuits. He loves them and eats far more of these than he did of his old ones. 2 years on his kidney function has remained the same, he continues to be happy and healthy, with a good appetite. I realise that this might not be the case for other cats but for us it has worked better than we could have hoped.

Reaches the places other brands have failed! One thing I have to do for my fussy kidney kitty is mash it up cos she doesn’t like chunks. In fact she mostly likes it more juicy. Anyway she gobbles it more than equivalent Royal Canin products also tried. Be good if they had a few more flavours.

Catfood was great as was the price but delivery poor as it was 3 days later than promised.

I have bought several items of kidney care food recently and can say that the service has been excellent, delivery exactly when stated. My cat also likes the food!

I was worried that my cat wouldn't eat Hill's Prescription Diet k/d Kidney Care food as she doesn't have much option since she has an enlarged thyroid. Luckily she does and has four flavours in the wet food to vary her diet plus the kibble.

Happy have bought this before Maddie does well on this food
