Halti Training Dog Lead - Black

Well made and strong. Have bought before and would again.

We've been lead and recall training our 4 month old golden retriever. She's a strong puppy so this lead has been great for control and comfort. The delivery driver was sound too – he was really patient as we're teaching the pup not to run up to or out of the front door!

I bought this to start walking my puppy. It is great as I can easily vary the amount of lead that is available to him so can adapt to the situation, longer lead for quiet country walks and shorter when in more urban/busy areas.

I have usually large for breed Rottie who has pulled me off feet. Since got this lead it's make such a difference with a head strap and other end attached to back of his body harness. Don't know wot I'd do without it now.

A very good quality lead, especially for its price! Its great that you can also adapt the lead to the best length that suits you. Very stylish & reasonably durable. It was able to withstand the wear and tear of an energetic labrador for a year, but broke recently due to Digby chewing on it. Overall I would defiantly recommend. As always, delivery was superb.

I bought two of these for our two lurchers they work brill when connected for a one person handler as well.

We use this lead for our husky puppy, and it’s great as has lots of clips so can be used at different lengths for training!

I brought this lead for my beagle he’s a puller so wanted a lead that I could hook on to his harness and collar for security. You can also change the length of the lead and is really comfortable to hold!

I needed a lead that could be attached to two rings on my dog's harness, I found this lead to be just what I needed. Its very well made and also has plenty of length as well.

This is my second halti training lead and once my pup has learned to walk nicely she will be sharing it with her mum. I have four Border Collie girls and two leads between them is much easier than four separate ones. Because these leads are so soft and extremely versatile I recommend them to my new puppy owners and friends. Wouldn’t be without mine.

I love this lead, so practical. Can use it doubled up or just use in as a normal lead. Works amazingly with the Halti head collar (which I also purchased) Great quality.

Brilliant lots of different ways to use it, I've also used it to walk 2 dogs at once. Very comfortable to hold too. Will definitely buy another if this one wears out but there's no sign of that happening yet. Good information on packaging

I bought one of these leads about 8 yrs ago for use with my obedient but, sometimes, wilfull large lurcher. It is the very best lead I have ever used and it still looks the same as the day I bought it. Strong and so adaptable. I recomend it to all the new members who attend our training club and have even lent it to them to try. Once used they never want to use a different lead again. A strong, good looking, serious, very comfortable to handle lead that will last more than the lifetime of your dog.

I purchased this lead a year ago with the Halti Harness for my terrier who pulls like a freight train. The Harness didn't work at all but I kept the lead as its so soft on my hands while I'm getting dragged around the streets! A few months ago I had cardiothoracic surgery and was told because of his extreme pulling I would be unable to walk him for six months - this wasn't an option for us! So a few weeks later I had the idea to attach this lead around my waist and take him out like that...it worked!

Definitely better than an average lead. Is wide and padded, your hands will not hurt if you have a puller. I'm using with halti body harness, my dogs still a handful. But it just helps on the hands side. Also, I can tie my dog to the front get while I do the gardening, she's happy as lorry, has plenty of room and is safe and secure. I'd recommend the lead over the body harness though.

Have been using these leads for past 6 years to walk my two Border Collies. One of my dogs is a real puller so also use a Canny Leader Collar instead of the Halti Head Collar as the Canny doesn't ride up into the dogs eyes. These leads are comfortable to use as you can get a good grip by winding them round your hand also wash well at 30deg. Pop them in a pillowcase to protect washer door from the metal clips.

I have a Mastiff and also walk several dogs, large medium and small! The lead is excellent quality and strong enough for even the worst of pulling dogs! I am equally pleased with the many ways you can us the lead as there are two clips either end and also rings for it to be adjusted.When walking it is fairly thick so it doesn`t cut into your skin and the extra padding helps take some of the strain off.Also on a side note, the level of customer service on this site is absolutely fantastic! Comfortable, versatile due to the 2 clips and positioning of rings, long-lasting. I work with dogs and we use these leads in preference to others, due to their convenience, length and being comfortable to hold. Also use on my own dogs.

Excellent soft feel but also a durable/tough lead which seems strong enough for most dogs and perhaps even a small horse! It has withstood several, I would prefer to be off the lead now Mummy, `Staffy-tug moments` but is still going strong. The multipositions are great, for training and using with a dual collar and leader/halti system which I benefitted from during initial training. We were recommended this by a trainer at puppy classes. At first we didn`t see the need but the nylon lead we were using was painful when she pulled. Now we have upgraded to this I don`t think we`d ever change to a different lead. We don`t use it with a headcollar but attach it directly to the collar. It is padded and soft to hold.
