Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Renal Function Adult and Senior Dry Cat Food

I was filled with dread when my cat developed renal failure, because she’s always been a terribly picky eater. I tried several brands of both wet and dry renal food, and this is the only one she will eat. She really loves it. Since starting on this food, she has gained weight and her kidney failure is stable. My vet is really pleased with her progress.

We bought this on our vet's recommendation for our fussy Burmese who has started showing kidney problems at 11 years old. He enjoys it every day.

Tried all brands of wet and dry food but this dry food is the only one she will eat. She loves it and her kidney disease is stable so it must be helping.

This is a useful dry food for cats with renal problems -- he really enjoys it as a complement to his wet food, giving him a change of texture and he is always very enthusiastic about it. The only downside is that the pieces are smaller than average for dry cat food and with his ordinary dry cat food he used to crunch every piece, which was good for his teeth, but with this, he doesn't crunch as often and he seems to swallow many of the pieces whole, which is not so good for his teeth and I'm not sure if it's good for his stomach but it doesn't seem to cause issues. So we always make sure he has wet food too.

When Bella was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease in November 2016 I tried a variety of renal foods, both wet and dry, with varying degrees of success. However, once I discovered Purina there was no looking back. She loves both the wet and dry food; ironically, my vet now feeds it to her cat after I provided her with samples of both varieties, even though the practice doesnt stock it! At Bellas 6-monthly blood test last month, the vet couldn't believe how well she is doing. The only downside of Purina Pro Plan renal food is that it is so tasty that my other cats are always trying to steal it!

As Harvey has kidney desease He has to have renal special food I have bought a selection of both dry and wet kidney food and these biscuits are his favourite at the moment

Been buying this for a few months now for my 12 year old cat his weight has improved over the last few months with both renal food and renal supplements added to food all my cat's seem to like this not bad overall

My beloved cat is in renal failure and we are trying to manage the condition with diet at the moment. Although this food is quite smelly my cat seems very happy to eat it. Which is quite a relief as he’s very fussy and dislikes other brands of renal food.

My cat has been on this for years so obviously it works ! Sometimes however it is different - both myself and cat can tell this - different colour and consistency. He still eats it but I get a funny look the first few times ! Good price and fast delivery.

Greatfo od and service ,only fault cant get it in jelly. I like jelly better.

Renal food good only fault is cant get it in jelly, our cat likes jelly more than gravy, so we are throwing half of it away.if we could get it in jelly it would be 5 stars.

Our cat Jamie has a long-term kidney condition which he was diagnosed with at the age of 2 he is now. Our vets advised us to feed him Purina NF Renal Condition, dried food. Our vets were charging us £48 for a 5kg bag. We can get 2 x 5kg bags for £68.38, a great saving. Why would be buy from our vets? We always ask on our delivery details, if we are not home to leave the box with our next door neighbours. This is done without a hitch. Well done Petmeds.

My cat was poisoned 2 years ago with antifreeze at 9 months, very poorly but pulled through. Renal function still not normal but seems well and vet pleased with bloods, my other cat who's healthy eats this also as always left out plus she has a little meat by herself. Cats nice healthy weight and shiny coats and vet pleased with them. Good priced renal complete compared to most

I tried Charlie on the smaller bag first he loves it. Although he had to have his teeth removed as they were badly infected resulting in the compromised kidneys he happily eats the biscuits in fact he has more problems with wet food.

We have had to put our cat on a special diet and this product is fine for him.

My cat loved the first bag that we got her but then seemed to go off it. Not unusual for a cat you may say as they are notoriously choosy. This time I think it was more to do with the packaging which is very difficult to seal properly because of the design. I think that the biscuits became "stale" towards the end as the bag seal wasn't working. Apart from this I would give them a five.
